Bio

Amanda Klinger, MT-BC (Music Therapist - Board Certified) graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (UWEC) with a bachelor degree in Music Therapy and completed an internship specializing in Music Therapy and Sensory Integration at the Children’s Center for Neurodevelopmental Studies in Phoenix, AZ.

Following her internship and employment at the Children's Center, she joined Heartland Therapy, Inc., an agency in Phoenix that contracts with the Arizona Department of Developmental Disabilities. She worked as the Lead Music Therapist at Heartland for over six years. She is passionate about learning new skills and trends in Music Therapy and has completed nearly 200 hours of continuing education.

In early 2009, she formed her own Music Therapy business, InTune Therapy. She provides music therapy services in a home-health setting to individuals with developmental disabilities, such as Autism and Down Syndrome.  She also provides supervision and peer review as well as continuing education services (See Services section).  She has taken the appropriate coursework for internship supervision, and has supervised several interns.  She also has trained and supervised several therapists for Heartland Therapy, Inc. 

She supports the Music Therapy community both locally and nationally through her current position on the Continuing Education Committee of the national Certification Board for Music Therapy (CBMT). Previously, she served her state Music Therapy organization, the Arizona Music Therapy Association as Vice-President and was a member of the Rules and Regulation Committee.
